A lake view walking tour among the hills of Valtenesi: visit of the cellar, tasting three local wines with light lunch.
An excursion for everyone, where the lake remains in the background and the countryside returns protagonist with its original productions: vineyards and olive groves. The visit to the winery is the moment to learn about local wines and the pairing with local food. It is a totally "local" route designed over time by farmers moving from village to village.
Itinerary
The tour begins in the municipality of Polpenazze del Garda, in Picedo. Walking, lake view you move towards the village of Mura and continue to the next location called Castello. You go down a level of the morainic basin to take the path that through the crops will take us to the cellar, with an admirable view of Mount Baldo. After the stop at the winery, you resume the loop route to return to Picedo, through a different path between the crops. The route is about 6 km and takes 4 hours max, including tasting.
Wine Tasting
The tasting includes three wines of the territory: two Valtenesi PDO and a light lunch with local food. During the visit, you get to know the main vine of the region: Groppello and its presence in the blends of Valtenesi wines Chiaretto and red version. The products that come from the earth always tell stories of nature. And also of the men and women who have taken care of it for centuries.
