Fascinating tourist excursion, with an insignificant difference in altitude, on the edge of Lake Garda: a magnificent itinerary through the gentle ups and downs of the morainic hills. Hills that have an altitude between 100 and 250 meters and extend in the shape of a semicircle to the south of Lake Garda, between the provinces of Verona, Brescia and Mantua. This type of formation took place from the retreat of the glaciers of the last glaciation (of Wurm), dating back to about 20,000 years ago and from the accumulation of debris pushed towards the valley by the action of the glacier, during the various geological eras. The route allows you to visit the sublime territory between Desenzano and its hamlet (S. Martino della Battaglia), observing its agricultural (vineyards and olive groves), historical (obviously referring to the battle of Solferino and S. Martino that was fought on 24 June 1859, as part of the Second War of Independence, It is remembered in Italy as the first concrete step towards national unity and throughout the world for having inspired Henry Dunant with the idea of the International Red Cross) and naturalistic (the Mantellina peat bog on the border with Pozzolengo, which is among the most interesting wetlands that dot the Garda morainic amphitheatre). At the end of the route, tasting of 3 delicious wines typical of the visited territory at Cascina Capuzza.
